A Magical Visit 

Step into Santa’s Magical Christmas Cottage where the spirit of Christmas comes to life.   Located on the southeast side of Appleton (Darboy) is where you will find Santa’s Cottage that welcomes both young and old to experience the magic of Christmas.  From early November through the end of December, Santa opens his Cottage for families to come and experience Santa like they never have before.  All visits are by appointment only, so you are assured private time for your family with Santa.  No long shopping mall lines to stand in, only to spend 30 seconds with Santa and be asked to buy overpriced photo packages.   

What to Expect from a Visit With Santa Mac 

Should you arrive before your appointment time you can tune into 97.1 FM on your car radio to listen to a special message from Santa and some silly jokes he loves to share.  Near the front door of the Cottage there are two beacon lights, one is a red light and the other is green.  If the RED light is on, please wait in your car as Santa is visiting with another family.  When Santa is ready for your visit the light will change from RED to Green…you are now welcome to come into the Cottage. 

Warm Greetings from Santa 

Upon approaching the Cottage, all guests are greeted by the sound of Santa’s bells and Santa’s warm and inviting smile as he invites you in.  The interior of the cottage is adorned with twinkling lights, holiday decorations, and, of course, Santa’s big chair which creates a very cozy atmosphere.  The elves at the Cottage control all environmental aspects of your visit.  If someone in your group has special needs please let us know.  We are able to turn off the blinking lights, control the volume of the music, etc.  Simply let us know ahead of time to ensure a stress-free visit. 

Creating Wonder-Filled Memories 

Parents watch as their children take a seat on the inviting big chair next to Santa as he listens attentively to their Christmas wishes, shares stories from the North Pole, reads a story or two, and, of course, shares whether or not you are on the “Nice List”. Children also get an opportunity to try on Santa’s big boots, which causes huge smiles and memories. Santa’s Chair and the Cottage decorations create several different picture-perfect backdrops for an encounter with the man in the red suit. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the magic of the moment and the joy on your child’s face as they share their wishes with Santa.

Whether you’re a child with a wish list a mile long or a grown-up seeking the timeless joy of the season, Santa’s Magical Christmas Cottage provides the ideal setting for creating lasting memories. While visiting the Cottage, you are the photographer, so PLEASE, take all the photos and video of your loved ones with Santa, preserving the enchantment of the holiday season for years to come.   

Sweet Farewell 

As you say farewell to Santa, you’ll receive a Cookie Card redeemable for a free cookie or donut from Santa’s Official Bakery, Manderfield’s Bakery which is right across the street from the Cottage. As you exit through the door, taking one last look at the charming cottage, Santa wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.

Be Prepared: Help your child create a wish list before meeting Santa to make the most of your time together. This ensures they get to share their most important wishes and allows for a smoother and more memorable visit.  There is a downloadable “Wish List” at www.VisitSantaFox Cities.com and a mailbox in the Cottage so Santa can take their letters back to the North Pole to share with Mrs C and the elves..
